Union Health Insurance Campaign: Giving Freelancers Hope

About one third of the country's employees are freelance workers. That means that one out of three employees in America cannot depend on their direct employer for the vital health benefits that are provided by the customary way of employment. The other two thirds of the population are well taken care of by the best insurance coverage packages their companies purchase for them. However, the remaining one third have to rely on their own hard earned cash to keep themselves healthy or to purchase an insurance plan themselves. Thankfully, an association of freelancers has proposed the freelance union health insurance campaign, designed to forward the rights of freelancers to the same benefits that direct employers enjoy.

The freelance union health insurance campaign was built to address the needs of the part-time employees and the self-employed. The support that the government provides must extend even to these kinds of employees because they too work hard to earn a living. Freelancers Insurance Company, which is a first of its kind, has set the example for other insurance companies to create packages for freelancers everywhere.

The campaign has received a huge backing from the freelancers themselves and direct employees alike, and as the efforts become noticed by the government, the dream of freelancers to get the same health insurance benefits is getting closer and closer to reality. The FIC has become the gold standard when it comes to providing this kind of help to freelancers. Hopefully, all insurance companies would follow its example.
